Prevention & Teeth Cleaning

Prevention means regular check-ups of your teeth and gums. This way, changes can be detected before they cause any discomfort. Professional teeth cleaning removes plaque and tartar that ordinary brushing cannot fully remove. The earlier a problem is detected, the easier it is to keep under control and to treat.

Periodontology

Periodontitis is a disease of the periodontium — the tissue that holds the teeth in place, above all the gums and the jawbone. In the early stages, the changes often go unnoticed. Regular check-ups therefore help to detect them in time.

The treatment aims to reduce the inflammation and to remove bacterial deposits from the surfaces of the teeth and roots. Regular check-ups of the periodontium help to keep the gums healthy and to preserve the teeth.

Tooth Preservation

Our aim is to preserve the natural tooth and its function for as long as possible. In the case of tooth decay, the damaged tissue is removed and the tooth is restored with a filling.

If the inflammation reaches the tissue inside the tooth, root canal treatment may become necessary. The inflamed or infected tissue is removed, the canals are cleaned and tightly filled, and the tooth is then rebuilt.

If the infection spreads beyond the root, the surrounding tissue can become inflamed. Such changes sometimes go unnoticed for a long time and only show up on an X-ray.

Tooth Restoration & Replacement

If a tooth is badly damaged or missing, it can be restored or replaced. Depending on the situation, the damaged tooth is restored or a gap in the row of teeth is closed — for example with a crown, a bridge, an inlay or a denture.

The aim is to restore chewing function and appearance and to preserve your own teeth as far as possible.

Aesthetic Dentistry

Aesthetic dentistry covers various methods intended to improve the appearance of your smile. Depending on the situation, this concerns the colour, shape or position of the teeth — with professional teeth whitening, aesthetic restorations, veneers or orthodontic treatment.

Which method is right in an individual case is decided after an examination — based on the condition of the teeth and gums and taking your wishes into account.

The aim is a smile that looks natural and harmonious.

Oral Surgery & Implantology

If a tooth cannot be saved, it is extracted. Missing teeth can be replaced with implants and suitable restorations — with a crown or, depending on the situation, with a bridge.

The treatment plan depends on the condition of the teeth, the gums and the jawbone. If there is not enough bone for an implant, it is assessed individually whether it can be built up.

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) can be used to support wound healing. For this, a small amount of blood is taken and centrifuged; the body's own material obtained in this way is placed in the wound — for example after a tooth extraction or during bone augmentation. Whether this makes sense in an individual case is discussed beforehand.

The aim is to restore chewing function and appearance so that the restoration blends into the row of teeth as naturally as possible.

Functional Dentistry

Tooth protection (night guard)
Many people clench or grind their teeth unconsciously, especially at night, and often don't notice it themselves. Early signs can be sensitive or worn teeth, tense jaw muscles, jaw discomfort or headaches. Stress and tension can make the unconscious clenching worse. A custom-made splint helps to reduce the strain and protects the teeth during sleep.

Costs and treatment planning

The scope and cost of a treatment depend on your individual situation, the chosen method and your insurance cover. After the examination, an individual treatment plan is drawn up with the recommended measures and their costs. Which costs your insurance covers depends on the individual case and the terms of your insurance. We discuss the treatment plan and possible costs in advance — you decide whether the treatment goes ahead.
